Himalayan School for Training in Astronomy Research
A five-day astronomy training school featuring lectures, software labs, group projects, and observational exposure for students and early-career researchers.

UPES, Dehradun and Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences (DIBNS)
Priority will be given to students from the Himalayan region, including Uttarakhand, J&K, Himachal, and Ladakh, along with neighboring northern states.
Eligibility
Final year BSc students in Physics or allied fields
MSc students in Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, Astronomy
Final year BE/BTech and ME/MTech (Physics or Computer Science)
First-year university PhD students
Program Snapshot
Morning: Fundamental astronomy, stellar evolution, compact objects, cosmology, instrumentation
Afternoon: Python basics, data mining, CMDs, light curves, galaxy morphology
Evening: Telescope handling and observational sessions
